Who writes this site
Lelifi is run by a small editorial team. Every tool page is built and reviewed in-house: one person writes the calculator and the explanation, another checks the numbers against the official source before it goes live. We do not publish pages under invented author names, and we do not use stock photos of people who do not exist.
Where the numbers come from
Every figure on this site comes from a primary source, and we link to it on the page. In practice that means:
- Platform fees and seller rates: the marketplace's own published fee page (Etsy, eBay, PayPal, Shopify and so on)
- Conversion factors and units: NIST, BIPM, ISO and IEC publications
- Tax and pay figures: IRS, Department of Labor, state revenue departments
- Health reference ranges: CDC, NIH, WHO and professional bodies
- Food safety and cooking temperatures: USDA FSIS and FDA
- Vehicle and safety limits: NHTSA, FMCSA and the vehicle manufacturer
How a page is checked before it goes live
Each calculator is run against worked examples that we compute independently, and the numbers printed in the article are compared with what the calculator actually returns. If the two disagree, the page does not ship. We also check that every link points at a real page and that no tool page is a near-copy of another.
How often pages are reviewed
Fee schedules, tax thresholds and reference ranges change. We re-check pages when a source changes, and we carry a visible "last updated" date on every tool page. That date reflects a real edit, not a cosmetic refresh.
Corrections
If a number is wrong, we fix it and update the date on the page. Report an error to [email protected] with the page URL and the inputs you used, and we will look at it, usually the same day.
What we are not
We are not accountants, tax advisers, financial advisers, doctors, veterinarians or engineers, and nothing here is professional advice. The tools apply published formulas and published rates to the numbers you enter. They do not know your circumstances, so confirm anything important with the official source before you act on it.
Advertising and affiliate links
If we display advertising or include affiliate links, they will be clearly marked, and they never influence the numbers a calculator returns or the order tools appear in. The math is the math.
